This is a bit of an odd prob which I just noticed after installing Cool Edit. Win Media Player will no longer play MP3s with a bitrate over 128 without clicking and skipping badly. The higher bitrate MP3s still play fine in Cool Edit however. Is there a way to fix this or is there another media player which can be integrated into the Win Explorer for previewing songs? TIA :)

Well windows usually uses l3codecx.ax (Fraunhofer Institut Integrierte Schaltungen IIS MPEG Layer-3 Audio Codec for Microsoft DirectShow) to decode mp3's.

I would render out an mp3 in graphedit and see what filters are being used.
