Hi,

I am trying to burn video to DVD. I have successfully ripped a DVD to my HD. I have tried burning to DVD using first Prassi Primo and now with the latest version of NERO.

The message I received from NERO was "communication failure", and something similar with Prassi Primo.

I am using a Pioneer DVR-A04. Could my problem be that I have not specified a region on this DVD-R/RW writer?

Might sound stupid but how big is the dvd you ripped to the hard drive because it has to be smaller than 4.3gb to fit on a dvdr and needs to have all the correct info files.

Also, any dvd you rip will not have any region protection so it doesnt matter what region your dvd writer is.
