Maxicat Mar 11, 2003, 04:16 AM Well, yes and no, my burner is the earlier Pioneer A03, set to Region 2, and this is the message I get on trying to rip a Region 1...... (Using DVDdecrypter) Media Region code mismatched to logical unit region... The slower BRUTE FORCE VOBDec/DeCSSplus cracking methods will be used instead of I/O Key Exchange. Visit http://www.firmware.fr.st for Region Free (RPC Phase 1) Firmware Indiana Jones Mar 11, 2003, 04:34 AM All Pioneer drives whether dvd-rom or dvd-r will be locked to whatever region the country they are sold in is, over here it is region 2 so only region 2 dvds can be ripped, if you want to rip a region 1,3-6 you will need to hack the firmware, I did this on my Pioneer 115 and now it can rip any region, just use the software region changer. |
