ripped a dvd to hard drive 80gig, loads of vob/ifo files tried them all and cant get the film to work in full, xbmp2.3

how you meant do do it??

i didnt think media player can do dvds, just vcd, svcd, mpg, avi, and divx

you would have to rip the dvd with your pc and then ftp the vob files back to your xbox and xbmp will play them.

you see, when you rip the vob file off of the dvd with your pc it gets rid of the encryption and the macrovision. do that and your xbox will play them beautifully. you must use a program like smartripper or something of that nature, that's how you get rid of the encryption and the macrovision.

i wish someone would port over and existing dvd ripping program for the xbox or code an original one even. that would be nice!
