I can't say for sure, but I just noticed this problem after installing Col Edit so it could be related.
Win Media Player no longer plays MP3s with a bitrate over 128 properly. Anything over 128 clicks and pops like mad. As I like to use the preview feature in win explorer, it's kind of annoying. However, they play fine in Cool Edit. How can I change the codec Win Media Player uses or is there another solution? (i.e. change it to the Fraunhofer codec that Cool Edit uses) TIA :)
