i have a amd 2000xp with 512 of ram

i have a 40gb HD set as primary which is full
and a new 120gb Hd set as slave it shows it when it starts up but how do i get windows to recognise it and how do i do whatever i need too

Did you FDISK and FORMAT the new drive? Silly question but it's obvious.

Van Nugent is right, but also check in system setup(u can access during bootup of pc and pressing the f-keys or esc) and see if the hd is plugged in correctly
