Thinking of buying a dvd writer and i have been told to get the sony dru 500, does anybody know where i could get this from please. I live in the uk.

Pretty much out of stock everywhere. I would keep an eye out on bigpockets though as they should have them in next week (so they claim). Some people can find the bare OEM version (U10A) in some places but I wouldn't recommend it as people are having issues with getting it up and running (firmware) whereas the Dru500ax automatically comes with the latest firmware, all of the hookup cables and an extensive software package.
