what is the most common, professional graphics program that includes photo editing, graphics design, 3d graphics etc???

As above ... however, I prefer Jasc Paintshop Pro from www.jasc.com. It is an excellent high-end graphics app and IMHO, much more user-friendly than Adobe's app. Also, Jasc's app can do everything Photoshop can do and it's much less resource-hungry. :)

Probably also need Adobe Illustrator to go with PhotoShop, then for 3D you will want something like Lightwave, StudioMax or Maya.

As stated above, I like Adobe's PhotoShop. Once u learn ur way around it its a very powerfull app.
