how do u get your xbmp tp play vcd
help please

well it plays most formats, should be the same as the way you play any other video format. how are you going about playing?ftp,disc etc?
may need to edit your config.xml

i want to just insert and play.. i dont want to ftp cause i only have 67 gigs left and i want to use that for games

wait damn.. there cdr and mine cant read cdr....
do u just ftp them to your box?

only 67 gig...my heart bleeds mate!! just map your config.xml in xbmp
i.e
<applications>e:\apps</applications>
<music>e:</music>
<pictures>e:</pictures>
<videos>e:</videos>

change the e: to d: to whatever is applicable

unless your box can read cdrs ( needs to be a samsung drive,which are rare ) then yup cdrw's or dvdr

ok about the ftp thing do u nead to convert the vcd to an iso or just ftp the files on the disc over

no need to convert mate, you just have to locate the .dat file and ftp it over. it's usually in mpegav folder ( make sure its view all files ) and it will probably be called avseq01.dat or there could be several in the folder depending the film. if you have problems do a search within in windows on your cdrom drive and type *.dat in the search field

only the dat!!!, not quite sure what the point is of the other folders etc but i think they're constructed in a way that stand alone dvd players can read them, seen as most vcd/svcd are directorally structured the same way
