ok i just finished a v5 ps2 with a magic 3.1 and now when the ps2 comes on theare is no sound,,,
evrey time i do a magic something new happens ive never seen before,GOD i miss the good old days of the sbox and 2.6 auto keys

any thoughts

ok i found the problom, N and M on the bios chip had come off and theare was solder between the legs of the chip.
what would be nice,and to help every one is to start a sticky thread with what was wrong with the install and how it was fixed

good idea zevdogs, there is always someone wanting info about how to fix installs and other probs with various mod chips, magic 3 and 3.1 seem to be very popular subjects on these boards.

i've had weird problems with my install too. The sound is all screwed up. Even after i take out the chip. I hear a lot of static. dunno how to fix this. Any Ideas? like what each pin on the BIOS is for?
