i hav a sony cd writer..32x/10x/40x and an asus cd rom..i am gettin reading problems with both the drives..they somtimes take lotta time to read the cdz or somtimes dunt read em at all..wht shud i do so tht they read all o mah cdz quickly..?

Check the device settings. Click on Start -> Settings -> Control panel -> System -> Hardware -> Device Manager

then find the CDROM list, click the '+' symbol and then right click on each drive and select properties. The drives should have DMA enabled, AIN enabled, Disconnect enabled and Sync Data Transfer disabled.

Are the disc's you tried original ones (data and/or audio) or are they burned ones?
