My CD Rom driver seems to have been corrupted as my pc cannot detect this drive. I am using XP and the error message says that Windows cannot load device driver as it is corrupt or missing (code 39). I have been using the Sony CD-RW for some time without problem until now and the maker does not seem to have the download feature for this. No driver update is available from Windows either. Does anyone know where I can find the download for this driver? Much thanks.

Try removing the device in Device Manager and reboot. Windows XP should redetect it. Might want to try the IDE controller that it's attached to it that doesn't work.
