I have been using a Sony cdu926s cd-burner for years, with Nero, with relatively no problems. Now the burner won't recognize any cd-r discs. It keeps thinking they are CD-rom's. I've tried different cd-r's, different brands, but nothing.... It used to work fine with the cd-r's off the same spindle. the cd-r's work fine on other machines. Ihaven't changed anything... same generic drivers as always.

Anyone have any suggestions?

If you have had the burner for years then it might be a case of your burner is dying. they dont last forever.

yeah the lense is proably dying , I heard that it dies quicker then normal CD-Rom's
