Hello guys i would really appreciate if anyone can tell me what is it that i have to do when i get this msg one dvd decryptor?

"Brute Force Cracking Failed / Reason: There were no vulnerable blocks"

this is the second movie i get taht error and it'll skip the rest of the remaining files.

Any help will be appreciated :D

are u using a liteon dvd drivewith reigion free software

no not region free software but i've rip other movies prior to this one :( with now problem

i had probs a while ago , and the cause of that was the aspi layer had got corrupt...re installed it and everything was ok

bigsyd: what version of the aspi drivers are you currently using? I'm currently using 4.71.2

Are you using either a LiteOn 165 or 166 DVD-ROM reader?

There is a problem using these drives with DVD Decrypter and certain films, both these drives scan DVD's in a different way to other drives and the author of DVD Decrypter will be sorting it out in the new version. I find if I have a problem with any film and brute force cracking that if I then rip it with my A05 it works perfectly....... but alas at 2.1 X :(

I asked him when it would be released but he was kinda coy about a date. :D

Cool thanks for the advise! i still have the movie that didnt work with my liteon here. I'm going to try using dvd decrypter on my a05 see if it works ;) (if i'm not mistaken it did but not 100% sure) i'll let you know ;)

lazza: i just tried on my A05 as well and i get the same error, i tried changing the css crackign method to :
1. I/O Key Exchange -> Brute Force
2. Brute Force -> I/O Key Exchange
3. I/O Key exchange
4. Brute force

Tried them all and nothing :( (all this was using File mode)

Now i'm current trying with ISO (read) at it's doing it but it gives me the same error the only difference its that it keeps going. this is hte error:

W 14:43:43 Found VOB File: VTS_01_0.VOB - LBA: 36075 - KEY: FAILED

doubt it'll work at the end when its done :(

TIKIN, use smartripper ..bet it works sounds like the same prob i had

bigsyd: any specific settins that you know i should use for smartripper? cuase iwas using it did it but was showing a whole bunch of broken blocks adn at the end it didtn work.
Any settings tath you think i should use?
