Had Norton Protected recycle bin on for a couple of days.
Been burning a few dvd isos.

Now I deleted all isos when done. But I only have 1GB of HDD space remaining. I have purged all protected files.

No option highlighted to purge again.

Run Disk Defrag still no change.

I Am Running Windows XP Pro

Any ideas>

Un-install Norton Protected Recycle Bin, I installed it once and it was a real pain.

Have a look in c:\System Volume Information or C:\_Restore they may have been backed up by System Restore.

Perhaps there are some temp files lying around?
Also, maybe having Norton protect the Bin screwed it up. Try reinstalling Norton.

Solved it.

Uninstalled norton : No difference.

Looked through various folders and found a recycle folder with a norton symbol on it(Hidden)

Opened it and there was my 58GB of disk space. Wiped it out and going to reinstall Norton again WITHOUT recycle bin protection.
