test1 Mar 27, 2003, 08:58 AM I had a virus but now its gone but after removing it now when i open some programs it says the operation has been cancelled due to restrictions in effect on this computer please contact your system adminstrator what can i do to fix this Roger Moore Mar 27, 2003, 11:11 AM It sounds like some of the changes the virus made haven't been fixed. You can disable certain things such as access to control pannel in the registary. You could try doing a system restore, that should load a backup of the registary. If replacing the Inetcpl.cpl file does not resolve the problem, locate the following key in registry : hkey_current_user/software/policies/microsoft/internet explorer/restrictions If a value called NoBrowserOptions exists, delete this value and restart the machine. |
