No its not some kind of heist ;)

I was wondering is there a way of taking the pcitures off a DVD which have got the pictures in a "picture gallery".

Because some of them are great and would make good backgrounds etc.

Have you tried using the 'capture' option in Power DVD??

i was trying to avoid methods like to get the "true" picture.

But i could give it a go, iam i right in saying on some dvds it doesnt allow you to capture images. or does power dvd get around this?

powerdvd will give you the picture you have up on the screen as a bmp image. i guess you could crop it using a editing program if there are other items on the screen you wish to get rid of. never had a problem capturing the images using powerdvd.
