Have been burning with my A04 for a while now without any problems, but now it burns a disc and it records successfully but comes up as a "bad disc", in my dvd player. I`m using the same software and dvdrs.
Many thanks in advance.
Joe.

You may have just picked up a duff batch of dvdr's.
What media are you using ?, because the manufacturers are changing their specs and dye types all the time.
Try using a good quality Ritek disk, such as Traxdata as these are very compatible with standalone players.
P.S.
If your disks work ok on your PC, it is almost certainly a media problem.

I`m using Datasafe Yellows.
Will try a different brand.
Thanks m8.

I'll probably get a dozen responses to this, but Datasafe Yellows are not very good for movies.
I know some people swear by them, but they seem to give up the ghost, for me, if you try writing to the edge of the disk, i.e. a full 4.36 gb burn.
Try a Ritek disk, I use Traxdata and never get any coasters.

Never had problems with them before, but could be a batch problem as you mentioned.
Thanks,
Joe.
