ive just backed up champ 4 with clone on the protected game option all fine and good. But when i installed the backed up version and ran it, nothing !!!!!!!! wats gone wrong any ideas

think it must be the protection mate. What cdrw drive you using?

If you checked this (http://www.cdrom-guide.com/forums/showthread.php?s=&threadid=240354) thread you will see that it is protected with SecuRom v4.84.69.0101

Doesn't matter what drive you use, CloneCD still ain't going to create a working 1:1 copy. You could try patching with TwinPeak before burning, although this ain't exactly a 1:1 copy.

yeah i know, i doubt he will say till he gets loads of orders.

it killing me this, i got loads to sell to people in my area and i am loosing money by not knowing how to clone it.

The game can NOT be Cloned. It uses changes in sector densities that can simply not be Cloned. There are several options available; emulation (Alcohol, BlindWrite, etc.), using twin sectors to simulated the same changes in sector densities (as I suggested above with CloneCD/TwinPeak or BlindWrite, etc.) or lastly using a crack.

Also selecting the "protected game" profile will not clone all games, you need to setup your own profiles for each protection clone cd is able to clone, ie securerom, safedisc, laserlok etc, personaly I read from original discs at 8X and clones at any speed so i had 2 profiles for each protection
Osafe & safe. Osec &sec, it was only the read speed that was different but it saved making mistakes, and this was only to ENSURE I made a good image first time from original, but firsly clone has got to be able to clone it, should listen to celtic in the first place, I always do.
