Protection:
SecuRom 4.84.69.0101

Hardware:
LiteOn LTR 40125S (40x Burner)
Toshiba SD-M1402 (12x DVD)

Software:
CloneCD 4.2.0.2
BlindWrite Suite 4.3 (need for BWA builder)
TwinPeaks 0.2

I basically followed these instructions from CDfreaks forum (Credit dues to Philamber): http://club.cdfreaks.com/showthread.php?s=&threadid=64732&highlight=SecuROM

Ran BWA builder (aka Physical CD characteristic dumper from BlindWrite start menu) to get an image of the SecuRom protection.

**My BWA files**
http://www.hardcopy.btinternet.co.uk/CM4-LiteOn.bwa
http://www.hardcopy.btinternet.co.uk/CM4-Toshiba.BWA

Imaged the original using Game CD profile with CloneCD

Ran Twin Peaks telling it where both the BWA file and CloneCD file were.

Burned the Patched.ccd file using Game CD profile @ 1x.

*****
Note that I could NOT install CM4 from the Patched.ccd burned CD. It would stop at 3% and would refuse to read the disc (read error not found file).

If you burn a copy of the original un-patched *.ccd file and use that to install then use the patched.ccd file as a "play" disc then this will work. It takes a short time to recognise the disc but it does work (tested on my Toshiba it worked within 20sec's but it is slightly slower at reading in my bro's Pioneer 106s).

*****
Done some further testing just to see if the drive used to make the BWA made a difference to loading times.

CD burnt using the Toshiba BWA:
Toshiba drive = ~10sec's
LiteOn drive = ~4sec's
CD burnt using the LiteOn BWA:
Toshiba drive = ~25sec's
LiteOn drive = ~10sec's

Haven't tried the LiteOn burnt CD in either of my bro's Pioneers but will post back the times.

I guess that is one way round it.

Only thing is when they release a new patch for the game you will have to wait for somebody to re-crack the game.

I actually downloaded that file a moment ago as my 2nd bro's system was refusing to load with the same CD that booted in my 1st bro's system. Both systems are identically setup (same hardware, same software) but the disc never booted. Just after I downloaded the file the game screen loaded on the screen :D. I think his Pioneer is more touchy than the other :(.

I might try and get some more BWA images at different speeds and try and find if they make any difference.

Nothing new here... The problem with such methods though is compatibility as you mentioned. You might want to try different values for the twin sector step, also BWA edit to clean up your BWA file.

I guess you could also do it the old fashined way and enter the twin sector values manually, as it may be more accurate. Also try and old version of BlindWrite, ie. one that inserts twin sectors on writing.

If the game won't install then that would suggest that your drive can not read twin sectors, in which case I would not recommend using them.

New to what??? The link was in the first post. Well ok a link to a guide which contained the link... But same thing.

You could also try an older version of BlindWrite that is also capable of inserting twin sectors.
