I'm trying to get rid of easycd loading up on startup. The only way I can do it is by manually going into taskbar properties and ending the task. i want to be able to never to load on startup ever again. But it seems I can't. My STARTUP folder is empty and the easycd taskbar tray icon isn't visible. If it was I would be able to fix this problem.

What are you using? Win98? WinME? WinXP? If it is any of those, just go to Start - Run and type MSCONFIG. Then click the Startup tab and look for Adaptec or EZCD... Uncheck it and then reboot. That should do it. :)

I'm using windows 2000 pro. I tried doing that RUN > msconfig but it gives the message

Can't find file. Make sure the path and filename are correct...etc
