Ok i ain't to good at this backuping up of games thing but i know mostly all the basics and stuff.

I first tried using CloneCD to copy the Splinter Cell game, i burn at 2x just for the sake of it. Then once it's finish i try to install the game.. at about 5%(which is about 3 of those blue blocks) i get a error message saying ...

"Component transfer error"
Component: Game Files
File:
Error: Catastrohic Error.

I know about the safedisc protection on it but i still can't seem to get rid of it.. Could someone give me step to step details on how to burn this game properly.

I have a DVD-Player and a BENQ CD-RW.

thanks!

CloneCD does not handle the new safedisc 2.8 protection very well and the results are very hit and miss. better off using alcohol 120% which is more reliable at backing up 2.8 protected games.

Yeah, try to make images of working cd's then use the safedisc2 profile for both the image making wizard and the burning image wizard
