Can someone tell me how to do this please? king nero Mar 30, 2003, 03:58 AM just copy the contents of the CD(game) to HD, then create another directory in the root of the cd, name it patch or something, then add the noCD-patch in that dir. then burn the whole thing to CD celtic_druid Mar 30, 2003, 09:39 AM No point in using Clone if you are going to use a cracked EXE. king nero Mar 30, 2003, 12:47 PM that's true, i overlooked that. you are going to have to use the hide cdr media (comes with clone) or play from a reader if the game performs an ATIP check tho, that's when using clone and no exe patch. (most easy way) iss Mar 30, 2003, 01:35 PM another drawback is that the no CD patches only work forthe version of the game they are built for. soon as you use a updatre patch your no cd patch wont work anymore and if you have it burned to the disc then the disc wont work anymore. u-571 Mar 30, 2003, 05:29 PM is it champ man 4 ? if it is I have done this successfully with Nero king nero Mar 31, 2003, 01:54 AM Originally posted by iss another drawback is that the no CD patches only work forthe version of the game they are built for. soon as you use a updatre patch your no cd patch wont work anymore and if you have it burned to the disc then the disc wont work anymore. you get your updates thru yer original exe, afterwards you copy the patch again in the dir. that causes no probs. ccmarci Apr 02, 2003, 07:55 AM The game is Sim City 4. When I copy it with clone I have to use a nocd patch for it to work. Can it be copied without needing the patch? pamfan Apr 02, 2003, 09:56 AM correct me if im wrong but i believe you can do this by opening the image with winiso (available here http://www.winiso.com/download.htm ) and u can then add or extract files to and from it, allowing you to add the no cd or update or whatever, and then burn the image as normal. Regards Steve Loreal, because Jennifer Aniston`s Worth it!! celtic_druid Apr 02, 2003, 10:07 AM I believe it is only protected with SafeDisc2. As such it is quite easy to create a copy that doesn't need a crack... assuming you have the right hardware. ccmarci Apr 03, 2003, 08:54 AM I'm using a clonecd compatible liteon 40x12x48 burner and using the settings that clonyxxl give me. The game copies and works but I need the nocd patch to run it as it won't run from the backup disc. What can I try to get a full working copy? Thanks pamfam I'll look at that as well. celtic_druid Apr 03, 2003, 10:16 AM Are you trying to run it in the Lite-On? If so you need to have something like CloneCD's hide CDR enabled. You might also want to try using Alcohol 120% or DiscJuggler as they are known to be more reliable when it comes to SD2.8.xx although with your drive CloneCD should work fine. |
