Hi all,

I'll make this very short: somebody downloaded for me a couple of ISOs (Linux and OpenBSD), both bootable and burned them for me. The thing is that they don't boot on my pc (p200+, AMI BIOS, Mitsumi 48x CD-ROM) (BIOS says "Searching for bootable CD-ROm...Not Found" or something similar).

Tried the same CD on a newer pc (dual bios stuff) and, of course, it worked  ... Does anybody have any ideea of how to make the CD boot on my computer? (directly from the bios, no third party software, 'cause I have a floppy which can boot the CD...)

PS: The CD didn't work on my friend's computer either (the one who burned the image for me) (AMI BIOS, Celeron 300MHz, Teac CD-Writer)...

first you should check and see if the Cd's are indeed bottable. ISO buster which is freeware will show if it is a bootable disk.

Yes, the CD is bootable, I've checked it with Nero InfoTool.exe. And I could boot from it using a floppy with a boot manager on it (if i'm not mistaking httP://btmgr.sourceforge.net), so I think it's a BIOS problem of some sort...
