I am trying to backup my psx game with nero. I have:
unchecked on the fly
read speed 1x
checked readmedia catalog number and ISRC.
continue copying
datamode 1 force raw reading write uncorrected
datamode 2 force raw reading write uncorrected
Read audio with sub channel
Ignore read error
unchecked jitter correction
but on the burn page i am unable to go any lower than 4x write speed
i tried it this way and it does not work.

What am I doing wrong?

no need to read audio sub channel,
and are your drivers up-to-date?
also some more info couldn't hurt
do audio cd's work? or only psx/pc games you can't copy? i assume other copies work in yer psx? psx game protected? which writer do you use?

Try Alcohol 120% free trial version avialable at www.alcohol-soft.com. Write disc to HD write back to cd and you should have a perfect working copy (assuming the game doesn't have a built in copy protection). If you are using cheap media that might also be the problem I would go with Fujifilm or Verbatim CD-R

I have backed games up before with win me and cdr win, and the games work fine. I am now using win xp home and decided to try nero. since i couldn't get nero to work I went ahead and used cd clone and made a few backups. Now I think I do have a computer problem cause the darn comp is freezing like a mad dog now.
