Hi i need help, whenever i insert a blank 900mb cd r into my HP 200i DVD Burner, my computer doesnt react like i have inserted a blank disc and the busy light keeps flashing on and off of it plz plz plz help ME!!!!!!!

Try a different brand media.

i hope to god youre not telling me that my media wont work in my drive as i just purchased 40 of those cds!

Maybe your CD-RW doesn't like 900MB CD-RWs.
Also, have you tried Nero or Easy CD Creator?

Is "overburning" with your burner possible?
If yes, set in Nero the overburntime to 100 minutes.

It worked great on my Plexy and the 99 minutes discs :)

The 200i is I believe either a rebadged Ricoh or Phillips, both I believe do recognise 99min CDR's. However can only overburn to something like 86mins.

go to www.dvd-recordable.net i think it should tell you wether it burns 99mins
