can anyone help a newbi e my mates lent me the above game and wants the discs back asap is there a patch out there that is easy to understand how to play the game without the disc, ive downloaded severel patches but every time i put them in file it still says insert cd when u go to play the game please help or is the a way to back up the cd thanks in advance;)

bf 1942 is protected with safedisk 2.51 , so to make a back-up use clony xxl to give you the settings to use in clonecd .
you will then need to use a NO CD patch ( the no cd patch does not mean you dont need the cd in the drive it means it dont need to be the original cd )

Actually no-cd does mean that you don't need the CD. Also if you are going to use a regular crack/fixed EXE then there is no need to copy the game properly with CloneCD, the whole idea of doing that is not to have to use a crack.

No need for Clony, I mean you already know what the protection is.

i have put a patch on no cd but its not loading all the way its freezing my pc at loadup i have a good graphics card i dont know if im doing everything rite or not is there a walk through to newbies anywhere thanks m8

If you make a copy of the game with Alcohol 120%, the game will load fine with the copy in your dvd or reg cd player. The last two patches for battlefield upped the protection to sd 2.8xxx and an alcohol copy will work just fine.
