My Writer does not read blank cds, whenever i try to burn something it says that there is no cd in the drive :confused: :mad: :furious:

Hi M8, your writer cannot read the blank CDR as there is nothing on it to read!!

So what is the error message you get exactly, and what programme are you using to copy?

I've upgraded the firmware in an attempt to have this model recognize my burnt cds with no luck. I even burnt a cd using winxp built in burner utility with this burner, and once it was completed, windows recognized the cdr as blank, however, when I took that same cd that I had just burnt, and put it into another cdrom, it recognized it!? Is this CDRW rom ****ed?
