Anyone know how well is that burner to burn DVD-R for PS2?

Yes it will do it but I sure hope you aren't paying the RRP price for it. That burner is worth no where near $500. Anyway the cheapest I have seen that burner is for $289 from www.tigerdirect.com but you can find the PioneerA05 for a little bit cheaper than that and the A05 is comes more highly recommended. It won't do DVD-RAM but DVD-RAM isn't going to do you any good outside of your PC (won't work on PS2 and 99.9% of DVD players). The A05 also has the ability to write DVD-R at 4x vs. The Panasonics' 2x. Unless you have found this burner for about $200 or less I wouldn't get it.
