Fitted cheaper mod to my Xbox today. Made a CDRW with evox on it and then loaded the dashboard to the hard drive. Backed up splinter cell to DVD+R (infiniti) I used ISOmaker V1.2 and rnow to burn the image.
Am Iright in thinking my mod works as evox booted in the drive, cos my back up does not work just sits there no disc error message or anything.
The only clue is that when I build the files into an iso the resulting image has a winrar icon (filesize was 3.84 gig). I am hoping that it is just down to my bad recording tecnique or rubbish media. Any advice welxome as I am new to this.

Yes it does work, if it boots any non xbox cd / application (ie evox) then its running.

Yeah it's up and running if evox booted up.

Ritek or discs that use the Ritek dye (i.e. Traxdata, Asus, Accu) will be your best bet for compatibility.

These discs will work well both for games and movies so you will be killing two birds with one stone by getting them. Just make sure that they have a dark purple dye on the underside of the disc as that is the color of the Ritek dye.
