OK, i have ntl broadband 600k supplied by a cable modem, i have a chipped xbox as well.

I need to know, will copied games work on xbox live, and how does it work with my broadband nd allt hat

When using xbox live you need to disable your mod chip (either via a switch on the chip or using something like the matrix eject trick). As the chip is disabled you will be unable to run any copied games or unsigned code (i.e. dashboards etc).

Yes that is correct. You will have to install a switch on your chip and switch it off before turning on your XBOX and then use original discs to play live. Once you are done and just want to play backups again, turn off the XBOX turn your chip back on and you will be ready to go. Just make sure you remember to turn off your chip before going live or XBL will detect it and "ZAP" your XBOX thereby deleting your account and screwing up the data on your HD. It is possible to get up and running after this but it is a pain in the arse.

it wont zap your account it mereley bans your xbox.
if you buy a new xbox then you can use your account on that.

Whoops my bad. Thanks for the clarification. Either way though who wants to go through the hassle of an XBOX that gets screwed up.
