I have a new 160 gig hdd and it is not ata66 so is there any way to lock it configmagic and atapw don't work it says hdd lock not supported. Is there anyone that has locked a 160 gig maxtor drive ???

your xbox can only see a 120.. your wasting.. i dont even know if it can use a 160

it sees the drive and works good with the moddchip installed but if a turn my chip off so i can play on live it won't boot xecuter2 chip

no i want it to boot off the ms dash board so live works right. Don't you need to turn off the mod chip to go on live or get banned right

tuck the chip has to be completely off once u get on xbox live!! Their servers can detect mod chips. So boot normal to your MS Dash, not to Evox Dash.

thats right i can do that with the switch but doesn't the hard drive have to be locked also the thats what the problem is the hd won't lock the 120 gig will but can't get the 160 to lock

yeah I believe you can only see 137 gb of spave on a 160gb drive, anyways go here

Actually if config magic says your hdd does not support locking then you can't lock it. Sorry thats just the way some are. Samsung 120 gig hdd will lock if you want to return your 160 gig.

Yes the maximum amount of space that can currently be used by the XBOX is 137gigs. That's why we see so many users who have 120gigs since they don't want to pay extra money for wasted space. As mentioned above I don't think you will be able to lock your 160gig HD.
