if an xbox boots up, but can't read any games(it shows an "error" when trying to read games), what could be wrong with it? please post anything that could be wrong with it, and how much fixing it would cost. could it be just a bios problem or something or could it an unfixible problem. also, i do not have this xbox in my possession, so i could not answer any questions regarding it. i'm just wondering if a get a defective xbox for cheap, would be worth it(if i could fix it, it would.)? i am gonna get a new hard drive for it anyway, if that may be the problem. any responses would be greatly appreciated. thank you very much.

Are you trying to buy a broken/faulty xbox? :zombie: If it can't read a disc then it could be anything from damaged DVD-ROM, Install mod-chip error, flashing bios error. dashboard, or many other things...How much to fix it? well it depends if you know what’s wrong with it. And no point of getting new Harddisk if the DVD don't work, you wouldn't be able to setup evo-x.

wang1: I wouldn't buy a faulty xbox like that...it could be completely toast...and then you've spent money for a really bulky paperweight :)...unless you could get it for free, I wouldn't suggest it...
