Has anyone actually been threatened for posting Evox? I am a noob when it comes to Xbox hacking and I went looking for it today, and couldn't find it anywhere (until I searched newsgroups). I know I probably could have went the IRC route, but what gives? I mean what does EVO-X do by itself that makes it so illegal? In order to play backup games you first need a chip and other stuff. Evo-X is just one part of it. Something tells me MS couldn't even threaten you for having it posted much less sue you.

Simple, you can't make backups of your own original discs without Evolution X. It is impossible to do this with the original MS dash. That is probably the biggest reason I can think of. If you want to try posting Evoultion X somewhere you go right ahead but with what has been happening to some sites lately you would understand how foolish this would be. By the way you might want to edit your post a bit before you get suspended or banned as it is against the rules here (for good reason) to say where to get Evolution X. Sorry man this is the way things are.

its simple, evox was created with a leaked version of the xbox SDK, thats why its illegal. it contains copyrighted code.
