OK guys. I have the 256 k image of X2 4976.02 Multi bios. What do i need to do to make it useable so that i can flash my onboard TSOP(already flashed to X2, so im just updating to newer version of X2). I understand i need to make it a 1mb image. So how do i do that. And once its in a 1mb format im i right to just flash the TSOP?

Cheers,

HaZ

you need to get a program called biosconverter_256_to_1024K.bat

This is how I converted my 256k bios to a 1mb bios.

download the x2 bios manager, I've got v1.1, then highlight each of the banks and import the same 256k bios into each one until all 4 are full. Then go to File-> Save. It will then save the new 1MB bios its just created to your PC.

This was way easier than going through DOS for me.

Then just flash your TSOP through evox.

Ok cool...when you imported the 256 image into bios manager, do you get name as unknown? Wanted to know if thats normal?

if u use evox to flash it it automatically rezizes it for u when u flash so a 256k image is ok
