I'm having problems listening to duplicated/recorded CD's on my home Hi-Fi system. I've tried using various s/w including CloneCd but my system just doesn't recognise that an audio CD has been inserted. The Hi-Fi system is a Technics 5CD/DVD changer (I don't remember the model). Does anyone know if I have to set any particular parameters when recording?

It probably just doesn't like CDR's. Try a CDRW or perhaps a Princo CDR or any other brand that has a good rep for DVD player compatibility.

Do those recorded CDs work in other players besides a computer?
Since I can't tell by your post how much cd recording experience you have, I have to ask if you are choosing Audio CD in your burning program? Are you closing/finalising the disc?

Which software do you use? Some audio cd's have a copyprotection too.
If you own RECORD NOW MAX (find it with www.google.com) you should make an MIXED mode cd with the CD_EXTRA layout. You have to rip the audio-cd to your HDD. Put in the audiotracks and a (small) TXT or read.me file in the filesection. It worked on my old TECHNICS cd-player.
The TECHNICS CD-player can also be media specific. I had the best results with MITSUI discs.

Also test a few other brands of cdrs. Many players have trouble with certain media. If any of your friends have recorded disks, try them.
