I just transferred from using MSN Messenger to Windows Messenger. Now, when people add me to their MSN it doesn't inform me if I want to add/block them. Therefore they can chat to me and I can chat to them, although they are not added to my MSN list which is kind of annoying.

Anyway to go around this, any setting to change???

update to msn 5. windows messenger came with windows xp, has been outdated about 2 or 3 generations now. remember not to confuse the msn client windows messenger that comes with xp, and the windows messenger service that is responsable for all the crappy spam messages that are in spammer vouge currently

Windows messenger service can be turned off.

Can you not add them one you get their email address (once conversation has started) and then block them? I know its not ideal but a work around at least.
