I have a case with 2 USB ports, 1 Firewire port, 1 headphone input, and 1 microphone input in the front. Do I need to buy a certain type of motherboard to connect these, or can they be connected with any board?

Also, are there any guides on this?

Thanks.

You motherboard has to have onboard usb, and a bracket (pins on mobo), same thing goes with the firewire, and sound card.

Asus boards have the pins for this (not sure if they all do but several do, and not sure about firewire), the best way would be to phone a retailers like overclockers who give sound advice you would also need to make sure your case is able to house the mobo

I think you have the same case as me you need 6 cdhannel sound for the mic etc.

The usb can be connected instead of your onboard unless you have enough to connect both.
