Hi guys ! i'm having a problem with sc2 release as it doesn't boot of my xb hard drive and neither from a dvd burn.My problem is one of my friend brought me the game unrar which had 4 files for a total of about 1.12gig.Now what i want to know is once you have burn the game on your blank dvd,how many directory you have ? how's the 4 files burned on it like is there 1 file in the root and than all 3 other in a directory cuz that's what i suspect to be the problem. It doesn't work from the hd even tough i had turn off ingame reset and from a dvd well if i didn't had the right structure than that would explain my bad burn...Just look on your dvd copy and tell me what you see ? directory and files plz...thanks everyone.

No this game has no folder, all the files is in the root direstory:

ISO-
|-----bgm.asf (239.847.424 bytes)
|-----default.xbe (3.551.232 bytes)
|-----movie.asf (439.142.400 bytes)
|-----root.olk (552.513.536 bytes)

i got the size from boXplorer. I don't remembe patching myself, but you may need to patch with 'Media patcher'...

well guys ! No luck for me...I have tried everything...Edit the ini file manually, trying to patch the default.xbe file with copyhunters, media patcher etc...turning off the IGR options in evox, burning the game on DVD at 4x,2x,1x with 4 different media and still no go.Once the game is copied on the xbox hard drive,it's listed in the menu but as a question mark (?) instead of having the usual name like other release.Even when added manually in the ini file, the game doesn't start.I've also went and change 3 times my version of evox with older version without success.I saw that i wasn't the only one with problems with the release and i guess something is wrong. It ain't my first attemp as i have copied over 50 games without problems so i'm droping the ball on that release which is too bad cuz i'm a big fan of the series.

I finally burn and copy Soul Calibur 2 correctly.Damn i feel so noob...It was my default.xbe file that wasn't good.I guess it was corrupted.I've just redownload the default.xbe file from the same release of course and BOOM,it worked.Wow,after 4 coasters and almost a complete delete,it paid off.Thank's again for all the help and cheers...

i just got one question. I am trying to dl soul calibur 2 somebody sent it to me but the damn thing does not work. cant exact the iso. gets to like 82-84 percent then says soul.iso failed. This lead me to belive the i dont have all the files required for this game. how many files are there and who could hook me up with the ones i am missing. I need the files for the xbox version. I have x-soulc2 1-12. but i think my 12 is the wrong size. all other file sizes are 48,829. my file 12 is only 12,974. I think i am missing the rar file. How knows any help would be cool. and if somebody could hook me up with the missing files it would be cool. I have cable, dsl and T3 so dl it fast is not a problem.

Hit me up just to chat
later

Apparently, the Jap release has 20 files so it seems from what you are saying that you are missing some.

X-Soul2.001 to X-Soul2.019

X-Soul2.001 to X-Soul2.019 is 19 files not 20 but anyway :P Thats the right number of files for the release. They should all be 47.6MB big apart from 19 which is 12.6MB.
