I was wondering how do you change a m2v file to a mpeg file. I'm using premiere and it is not noticing the m2v file. Also I got a serial for this program but I do not know where to place it. I am not asking for a serial, just where to put it. If I have broken any rules in this forum I'm sorry.

Try changing the file extension from .m2v to .mpv

It asks for the serial when you install it.

it didn't ask for a serial. I dl the trial version.

how do you change an ext. I already know how to change the name but if you rename it that does not change the ext.

to change the ext,
go to folder option, view.
Click on show file extention.

Every file should show an extention, like .mp3, .avi etc

or do it in a command prompt.

You can't register the trial version, the full version asks for a serial when you install. If you have a legitmate serial then you would have the full version.

Also the trial version is still v6 and not 6.5 isn't it? Not sure that v6 can open MPEG2 files, at least not without a plugin.

to change your streamed m2v to mpg you need software like tmpeg but also you will need a audio file mp2 otherwise you will have no sound

When I use tmpeg it says my m2v file is 1sec long !!! Why is that?
