I have a problem with sansumg 608 dvd player. I can play music and games but I can't play DVD. I update de firmware and reinstall the Power dvd software but I still recieving the same message no disk in drive. I install a new software WinDVD the same message came Out.

If any one have the solution please let me know.

Did you just get the drive or have you had it for a while? In other words is this always been a problem or is it something that has just started happening? If it is a new problem are you running any other drives with the Samsung? It could be that you don't have your jumpers set correctly (i.e. One drive set to master and the other to slave). I hope this helps

Yes the drive was working before. I install a CD burner but the both of them were working OK. Last week I rent a DVD movie and sudenly stop working. You can see the movie for a time then the movie freeze and need to close the program. The part that I'm :confused: is that the I install this 2 year ago and never had a problem until now. I think that the speed of the drive have to do with it? this a 8x DVD I don't know if the new movies need to be run and a 16X could that be a problem?

No that shouldn't be the problem. Your CD Burner should probably be set to Master and your Samsung set to Slave for best results. Have you checked this? If your jumpers aren't set correctly the drives are probably interferring with eachother.
