i got a few mp3/vcd/data cds...
that i've burnt over the past couple years...

and i tried loading them up in my pc earlier...they wouldn't load....just stalled my pc....(i tried loading them in my main cdrom - in other words..my dvdrom)
all the other cds that i burned..worked..but these few didn't..

i then tried loading them in my cdr...and they worked..

anyone know the cause of this problem?

Dirty/scratched or deteriorating media that your DVD-ROM is having difficulty reading, try copying the discs to some good media.
