I'm looking for a nice laptop, up to an absolute maximum of £2K, preferably less : )

Something that can handle most games, with a large screen.

I've been looking at the Dell Inspiron 8500, can anyone comment on it, or suggest something similar ?

well if you want true style go for the new ibook, their was someone on BST selling them for £1200

but dell make class top grade laptops

as do sony this seems a nice little number http://www.sonystyle.com/is-bin/INTERSHOP.enfinity/eCS/Store/en/-/USD/SY_DisplayProductInformation-Start;sid=ATKpWNJyJt2pRuzt9eyjU51jF5mXPV4uaTw=?Pro ductID=CcYKC0%2eNYzgAAAD0uhmg86Ao

TIME also do some good laptops, very cheap too, not like their pc e.g good build qualty (or so im told)

but what ever you do take out a 3year instrance policy as laptops are an expensive thing to go wrong.

I like the ibook, but can't really bring myself to get a mac. Everything I use is PC based and the last Mac I owned was an LC, so it's going back a while : )

I'll check out the sony though.
