I have just bought a BenQ 48x Writer, and i installed Nero Express which came with it, and the fastest Write speed is 24x ??

What could be wrong? Thats not all Nero Express can do it is ? its a toned down version of Nero Burning Rom im used to....its more User Friendly and stuff like that...But i dont see why it would only be able to do Half Speed! :(

It is using the Same IDE Cable as the Harddrive, but i dont think that would cause it, because it doesnt even give me the OPTION of anything higher than 24x...

Is there anything special i am ment to set up first ?
DMA ? (dont really know what it is)

Damn, and you were right....i was starting to worry there....
Being Sony Cd's i thought they woulda supported faster than 24x...
It says 36x on the cd box lol..
the cd that came with the burner looks pretty crappy but its 48x compatible, and it just copied the cd at 48x.. :)
problem solved - GET BETTER CDS...
