Everything has been fine for 6 months. I have an Athlon 2100 xp and a geforce mx 440.

Now the system sometimes boots but then crashes or goes black and crashes before profile selection. I have started again in safe mode and it states a problem with the nvidia drivers.

I have uninstalled and reinstalled and the problem continues. I have now uninstalled and work and this sucks.

Need help guys,

Thanks

Try using the Det Destroyer (http://download.guru3d.com/) to completely remove all traces of Nvidia drivers and then reinstall the supplied Nvidia drivers or Download (http://download.guru3d.com/) the latest versions.

Or use Det destroyer as Smiffy said and go HERE (www.drivers.on-line.net.nz ) and download the driver wizard and it will tell you what the latest drivers are for it and where exactly to get them from

Sorry m8 :( but you did'nt say what OS you were using so no the det destroyers wont work with XP yet...

So, what have you changed recently with regards to your settings,anything..? Are you trying to overclock the card at all,you say you are getting a black screen before profile,do you mean you boot the system using different profiles...?

As suggested m8,try downloading different versions of the drivers as some systems work better with the different versions. Check the link I gave for a download as that site has a dedicated Nvidia forum and you might pick up something from there.

Hello m8, looks like a problem with AGP hardware. If you have access to any other machine, try putting another card in your system.
