Just started the system for the first time a couple hours ago and the BIOS tells me at 1st boot that the CPU temp is 95 degrees Farenheit ??? Sounds a bit odd considering I just turned it on. What's a healthy temp for this CPU? Also, what can I do to further cool down the CPU? Got my thermal grease and stock heatsink and fan, gonna flip my side casefan around tomorrow to blow on the CPU ... and then ... ??
System temp is 79.3 degrees Farenheit btw after about 3 hours of operation. Was 76.6 degrees at boot :)
TIA for any feedback. :)

If you aren't already doing so, use Motherboard Monitor to get your CPU temps instead of the bios. It's the best temp monitoring program.
Anyways, your temps are looking really good. You should try overclocking it because the P4 has good cooling even with the stock heatsink. The case fan will help dissipate the heat in your case and if you really want a cool CPU, try getting a better heatsink. But it's not really necessary because most people get pretty good overclocking results with just the stock heatsink.

thanks gambit_360. will check out Motherboard Monitor. :) glad to hear my temps are looking good, first experience with a P4. If I can keep it cool, will certainly move on to OC'ing it in a few weeks. :)
