Hi,
can anyone help please.
Recently uninstalled MSN Messenger 5.

In startup list I have - Load QM loadqm.exe

I have been told by a friend, that they think I can uncheck this in startups as I don't need it if I am not going to use msn messenger.

Can anyone tell me if it is ok to uncheck loadqm.

Regards,
Bimbo.:)

Hi m8

Take a look at this Microsoft Article (http://support.microsoft.com/?kbid=309418) I would say if you don't use MSN and are not planning on using it then disable it. BTW,what OS are you using as you'd be better of disabling it from services.

Hi Smiffy,
I have Windows 98SE.
How would I disable it from services?
Thanks,
bimbo.

Also, for further info, have a look at the FAQs above. There's a link I put in there months ago which lists all items from start-up / registry etc and whether you can safely disable / delete.
