I currently have Norton Antivirus 2002 on my computer. My subscribtion service end at the end of April so I went a bought a copy of Norton Antivirus 2003.

I First Unistalled NAV 2002 using the "add remove programs", I then rebooted and installed NAV 2003, again rebooted. But for some reason my subscription date still says 4/30/02.

I unstalled everything including deleting the symantec folder....but still no luck

Did i do something wrong.

Thanks for your help.

I have seen numerous problems in the past when it comes to uninstalling Norton. As you have a full version of 2003, have you tried installing over the top ?

If you still want to go down the uninstall route, as well as deleting the folders, you will have to delete all references to Norton and Symantec from within registry using regedit.

Search the Symantec site, they have this tool that allows total removal of NAV, so that you may start fresh, I have seen it posted here but I havent got time to search through, so try searching this and the network/security section.

It was Duffy that reminded me that it was in existence, I forgot all about it.

Well i tried that and deleted the registry points like the article says to.....still when i install it again....it comes up with 4/30/03....i dont understand.

Symantec has tech support for 30.00 per call...

i really dont want to pay 30 bucks since thats what i paid for the freakin software
