Use the Divx player (Alpha 4) - it's the latest you shouldn't have any problems

Hi mate a simpler option is to use ffdshow- i had exactlty the same problem- you get a few frames of bad swirl after the dodgy frame but may be simpler than getting a new player- its stopped the freeze in 1 hour photo and my copy of eight mile as well
just type ffdshow in google- its free

Yeah, ffdshow does an amazing job, if It cant handle it, I doubt anything can! Also, use Media Player Classic as the player, they work really well together as a pair.

Sorry to butt in on the post storm, but is media player classic different to windows media player?- does someone else make media player classic?
I've had no probs with windows media player 9- is media player classic that much better?

I dont know who makes media player classic, I think its some 3rd party developers but they certainely got it right! Remember the olld-skool media plaer in win98, its like that but far better, search for mplayerc.
