Kwizoke is a system that uses midi (kar) files. It's basically an Amiga computer plugged into a Roland sound canvas external soundcard and driven by a mixture of proprietry and off the shelf software. They're ok, but nothing to beat a proper professional kit. The quizzes are superior though. I don't really think they're cheap enough to consider buying. If anyone wants to go the computer option the PC route is more sensible and economic - I or anyone else with a bit of know-how could knock you up a machine with a gigantic HD, multiple TV out, mixer (+echo), flight case, portable input devices, software, cooling and all the other toys for from as little as £600 (personally I'd allow a grand and go to town on it!). Pretty much all you'd sacrifice would be the start-up time of the kwiz-oke machine. I'm not offering to build any for anyone mind you (well, I might...), but the custom software isn't that hard to implement - I copied most of that in the 2nd year of my degree, so if anyone wants some of that just g.i.t.

PS If anyone has a copy of the kwizoke song disc (or similar top quality midis) then I'd be interested...

seen them a long time ago , nearly bought one from music machine in bolton but i agree the musics bobbins on most the karaoke tracks....i think its about time someone did a massive dvd quiz and play your cards right thingy sort of disc......hint,hint,......just for us dj/kjs to break up the night ....just think you could tell any boozer ....its a karaoke/disco/quiz/and play your cards right night.......a real deal for any pub that is......mmmmm....yes i think someone out there must have some sort of disc......on a dvd i reckon you could get about 100 different 20 question multiple (millionaire type ) questions......mmmm thats 100 different quizzes ....with possible updates every 3 month or so.....so if theres any clever sods out there .....opportunity knocks !

Why not use a playstation and the 2 Millionaire discs that are available, works for me. Nobody has got the million yet, not even close.

I have sent loads of emails to the company that advetised these play your cards right cgd+g discs some time ago and not even the coutesy of a reply.
